Clio Consultancy Services Ltd was engaged as the lead consultant for the end-to-end design and execution of a 3-day executive training program on Understanding Shipping and Ports Management for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
Our responsibilities included:
- Designing a comprehensive, industry-relevant curriculum
- Providing expert facilitators and session leaders
- Coordinating all training logistics and materials
- Facilitating interactive lectures, group exercises, and assessments
- Overseeing quality assurance and ensuring learning outcomes were achieved
- Issuing certificates of participation upon successful completion

Executive Training and Capacity Development for Government Agency (Maritime Sector)
Clio Consultancy Services Ltd recently conducted a successful 3-day executive training titled "Understanding Shipping and Ports Management" for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), held from October 7–9, 2024, at Maas Central Hotel in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The program aimed to enhance participants' understanding of shipping operations, port management, and maritime trade, equipping them with essential skills to navigate the dynamic maritime sector in Nigeria.
Under the leadership of Dr. (Mrs.) Felicia Chinwe Mogo, the training featured engaging modules delivered by seasoned experts, including lead facilitator Engr. Ibe Fidelis Ifeanyi. Program coordination was expertly handled by John Mbanefo, Clio’s Project Administrator, who ensured seamless logistics and an effective learning environment. Chukwudi Mogo, Director Consultant at Clio, provided strategic oversight to ensure all deliverables met the highest professional standards.
The curriculum covered crucial topics such as port functions, regulatory models, and international trade linkages, fostering a collaborative and interactive learning experience. Participants from NIMASA’s Eastern Zone branches actively engaged in discussions and practical exercises, resulting in overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the training’s relevance and clarity.
The successful closing ceremony, attended by key NIMASA officials, featured the awarding of Certificates of Participation, highlighting attendees’ commitment to professional growth in the maritime field.
